The biggest thing to hit Image Comics since SPAWN #1!
If you grew up reading comics in the ’90s — then you know as well as we do: SPAWN was the biggest thing ever, and issue #1 blew the doors off the comic industry in a huge way, and to this day — the title still remains one of the most beloved superhero comics on the stands!
Now, we’re about to see one of the most historic moments in comics as SPAWN hits issue #300 – not only is this a big milestone for Spawn, Todd McFarlane, and Image Comics, but also a huge milestone for creator-owned comics in general.
There’s only been one or two other titles that have hit 300 consecutive issues that would be consider creator-owned (in fact, the only other may be Cerebus), and to see SPAWN as one of them — it’s a pretty big deal.
On top of all that: this issue of SPAWN sets out to deliver something that many of you have been waiting for: the perfect place to jump back into the world of Al Simmons and the battle between Heaven and Hell.
And, for many of you – this may be your first ever time reading SPAWN, after only hearing about the legendary character for years — and that’s killer, cause issue #300 is THE perfect place to begin reading the series!
What’s the scoop on SPAWN #300? SPAWN MAKES HISTORY!
With this 300th issue, SPAWN becomes the longest-running independent series in comic book history. To celebrate, legendary artists TODD McFARLANE and GREG CAPULLO return with ALL-NEW interior pencils, with additional art provided by JASON SHAWN ALEXANDER, J. SCOTT CAMPBELL, and JEROME OPEÑA, a cavalcade of celebratory covers, and additional writing by SCOTT SNYDER!
