In the fifth of issue of Flop Sweat, Lance Ward continues his reminiscences about his colorful past, this time beginning in 1988 during his years as a traveling perfume and cologne salesman. Struggling to make ends meet, Ward ultimately winds up houseless, living out of his car and in debt to his boss. You would think this would be close to the bottom, but Ward still had further to go. A deeply sad (and also uplifting) story about the struggles of the author to overcome financial, family, and psychological challenges, Flop Sweat #5 continues Ward's mission to draw his way out of his traumatic past and into a more positive future.
