Journey into Mystery focuses on an experiential exploration of psychosis-related experiences through poetry, with the goal of finding deeper meaning. While the author did not write poetry in the middle of each of two episodes, poetry was written abundantly before, after, and between these experiences, when she was in a slippery in-between sort of place. Her hope is that this poetic journey will draw the reader in an immersive fashion into aspects of psychosis-related experiences, and in the process inspire new ways of viewing these states that are meaningful and that open one’s imagination per possibilities.

This poetic collection also invites the reader to travel more deeply into their own hidden psyche, as the author weaves together a narrative that is both introspective and expansive. These poems frequently make connections between nature and the author’s inner world, and as a result there is a conversational element to them. In this book, the author is engaged in a search for self discovery and deeper spiritual connection, and in the process traverses unexpected realms as she undergoes a transformative, soul-focused journey.
