Fjords is a tile-laying game played in two phases. Initially, players take turns strategically placing hexagonal terrain tiles, building a shared landscape of fjords, meadows, and mountains.  This phase requires foresight, as the terrain created directly impacts the second phase. Once all tiles are placed, Vikings enter the scene. Players now deploy their Viking tokens, claiming territories and scoring points.
