After half a century and 40 studio albums - along with countless 12" and 7" vinyl releases - we remain a relevant force in the world of reggae music.
We started in 1973, and today, Live and Learn Records LLC is more committed than ever to spreading conscious, roots reggae music across the globe. Live and Learn Records LLC has collaborated with some of reggae's greatest figures - legends and pioneers such as The Mighty Diamonds, Dennis Brown, Wailing Souls, Ras Michael and The Sons of Negus, Ernest Wilson, Barrington Levy, Don Carlos, Junior Murvin, Freddy McKay, Ansel Meditation, Beres Hammond, Junior Reid, Freddy McGregor, Linval Thompson, Michael Prophet, Al Campbell, The Tamlins, and more. We've also worked with iconic musicians and backing bands like Sly and Robbie, The Roots Radics, Lloyd Parks and We The People, High Times Band, and Oneness Band. Live and Learn Records LLC is an independent label known for it's authenticity and strength within the reggae music scene. This legacy is deeply rooted in the inspiration we've drawn from the many talented and legendary producers who came before us - including Clement Dodd, Duke Reid, King Tubby, Vincent Wright, Lee "Scratch" Perry, Prince Buster, and others. Today, reggae is so global that a fan in Ethiopia can enjoy the same song at the same time as someone listening in Kingston.
